VSO “PETTING ZOO” COMING TO EDMUNDS THURSDAY MAY 31

April 9, 2012

Rebecca Kopycinski from the VSO will once again be coming to Edmunds to introduce our kindergarteners and first graders to families of instruments in the orchestra.  It is designed as a hands-on first experience with instruments for young students.  There will be three, 50-minute sessions: 9:10am (Quinn, Weishaar), 10:10am (Spinner, Bessette) 11:10am (Case, Nutting) on Thursday, May 31.  We need 8 adult volunteers for each session to help the children hold and sanitize the instruments.  Parents, grandparents and guardians of K/1st graders are especially encouraged to volunteer for one, two or three sessions if your schedule permits.  If you can help, please contact Rachel Shelley at rachskye@gmail.com or Carolyn Hanson at carolynhanson21@gmail.com.  If you can’t volunteer but would still like to help, we need several rolls of paper towels if you have some to donate. Thank you PTO for sponsoring this event and VSO for providing matching funds for this program.
