Thank you to all who participated in and attended Multicultural Night.

The evening was a great success, and a joyful way to end the week. A special thanks goes out to the following: All who set up a cultural table to share with the community; all who cooked food from near and far; Betsy Nolan and the EES chorus; Stratton and Jon from UVM Competitive Ballroom Dance Team; Perky and Henry Gogo for (our favorite) Filipino dance; Peggy O’Neil, Emily Merrill and Maria Mutar for helping to coordinate the event. We have 2 yellow-orange salad bowls and a pair of clear salad servers. They were left at the Multicultural dinner. Contact Peggy peggyov5 if they are yours.

Left behind Dishes!
There are several bowls, dishes and miscellaneous items left over from our first thankful Thursday. If you are missing something please look on top of Trish’s filing cabinets in the office!!

EES Community Holiday Gifts Project
During this holiday season, if you are looking for an opportunity to give to a family in the EES community, consider purchasing a gift card (Amazon, book store, grocery store, department store, etc.) to donate anonymously. This year Ms. Hathaway (EES School Counselor) and Tyler Sessions (P.E. Teacher) are working to connect EES families in need of some extra financial support with gifts and gift cards for the holidays. This year we are reaching out to the EES community to help provide gift cards to families in need. The gift cards can be sent to school in an envelope where they will be collected by the class teachers, and given to Ms. Hathaway. In order to reach families before the December break, please send in gift cards no later than Monday the 19th of December. Thank you EES community for your generosity during this holiday season.

PLEASE HELP UVM MEDICAL STUDENTS – TAKE THE VERMONT HEALTHY KIDS MEAL SURVEY!

The University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and the American Heart Association are working in partnership to improve the nutritional quality of foods marketed to our children. The Vermont legislature is considering applying nutritional standards to children’s meals throughout the state.

The College of Medicine, the American Heart Association, and your legislators would like to know what you as parents think about the matter. Medical Students from the UVM Larner College of Medicine have created a survey which can be accessed here. https://survey.uvm.edu/index.php/154446?lang=en

Your responses to this survey will have an impact on these nutritional standards.
